This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform, Branmado (the "Service"). This policy complies with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service for the Japanese market:

• Information you provide: Account details (email address, encrypted password), Profile information (company name, contact name, business address, phone number, website URL), and platform activity (product profiles, uploaded images, and chat message history).
• Automatically collected information: Access logs (IP address, browser type, access times). We use LocalStorage and essential session cookies to maintain your login session and basic service functionality.

Note: We do not process or store any credit card information on our database; such data is handled directly by our secure third-party payment processor (Stripe).

2. How We Use Your Information & Legal Basis

We process your data based on the following legal grounds and for the following purposes:

• Performance of a Contract: To provide and operate the Service, facilitate matching between brands and partners in Japan, enable chat functionality, and manage your account and billing.
• Legitimate Interests: To send important system notifications, transactional alerts (e.g., new message notifications), and policy updates. To analyze platform usage and improve user experience.

3. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to monitor site performance. This tool is designed with privacy in mind and does not use third-party tracking cookies or profile individual users. It collects anonymous telemetry to help us optimize the platform for the Japanese region.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information under the following circumstances:

• User Matching: As a matching platform, your public profile information will be visible to other registered users. Access to detailed product listings is restricted to registered users with an active subscription (Crowdfunding Partners). Private details such as business addresses and phone numbers are NOT shared with other users and are used strictly for administrative and billing purposes.
• Service Providers: We share minimal necessary data with trusted third-party providers (e.g., Supabase for database management and storage, Resend for transactional email delivery, Stripe for payment processing) who process data strictly on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities in Japan or other relevant jurisdictions.

5. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country. For users in the EU/EEA, data transfers to Japan are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision. Transfers to other regions are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate legal safeguards.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We will retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. If you choose to delete your account via the Settings menu, your personal data, product listings, uploaded product images (brand_assets), and message history will be permanently erased from our active systems. Please note that data may remain in our database backups for up to 30 days before being fully purged.

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: Request access to your personal data.
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data (manageable in your Settings).
• Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data (executable via the "Delete Account" feature).
• Right to Restrict or Object: Request restriction of or object to our processing of your data.
• Right to Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
